Principelle IF is a sterile ointment containing a blend of trace elements and honey. Minerals, trace elements and oxides are directly blended with medical grade dark buckwheat honey. The formulation is gradually absorbed by the wound surface after application. Indicated for the treatment of acute and chronic wounds, including contaminated and infected wounds. Acute wounds: • Burns •Surgical wounds • Other acute wounds where fast epithelisation is required Chronic wounds: • Ulcera cruris • Diabetic Ulcers Tube packaging especially suitable for use in cavity wounds.

Principelle IF ointment contains a blend of: Medical grade dark buckwheat honey Minerals Trace elements Oxides Principelle IF® normalises the wound micro-environment. This results in better conditions for re-epithelialisation. Modulation of the wound micro-environment is associated with appropriate stages of healing. The characteristics of Principelle IF® facilitate regulation of moisture content in the micro-environment of the wound and regulation of the pH on the wound surface during the healing process. Principelle IF® protects the wound against mechanical trauma. Principelle IF® does not inhibit the drainage of wound exudates.

Product Directions:

Application:

Carefully inspect the wound.
Cleanse the wound according to standard instructions.
Open the tube. If the tube has been opened or damaged, then consider the Principelle IF® tube to be non-sterile.
Gently apply Principelle IF® and ensure that this leads to maximum contact with the wound.

Note: In cases of moist or wet wounds, Principelle IF® can be covered with a secondary dressing, which will result in the retention of wound exudate.
