Granudacyn® Wound gel is a ready-to-use, clear gel for cleaning and moistening acute and chronic wounds as well as for keeping wounds moist.
Cleaning of wounds prevents wound infection. In wounds that are already infected,adjuvant wound irrigation can help to significantly reduce the microbial load. This results from the mechanical effect of the irrigation, which together with moistening promotes wound healing. Granudacyn® Wound gel may be used for the thorough wound cleaning of:
• Acute or chronic wounds as well as surface wounds
• Cuts, abrasions and 1st and 2nd degree burns
• Critically colonised or infected wounds

How product works
Granudacyn® Wound gel can be used by lay persons under supervision of health careprofessionals and is suitable for repeated use.Shake well before use.Clean the wound and surrounding area with Granudacyn® Wound Irrigation solution and dab dry. Apply Granudacyn® Wound gel to the affected areas and cover with a suitable secondary dressing.Granudacyn® Wound gel can be used with Mölnlycke Health Care foam dressings: Mepilex, Mepilex Border and Mepilex Border Flex.

Precautions Should not be combined with other wound cleaning products (such as enzymatic\nwound cleaners)
• Do not mix with other products or chemicals.
• Only use intact and undamaged packages.
• Oral ingestion, although harmless, is nevertheless not recommended.
• Do not apply onto or inject into tissue using pressure.
• Do not use Granudacyn® Wound gel in the event of hypersensitivity or suspected\nallergy to the components. Warnings Special storage conditions and handling conditions
• Store the product between 3 and 25°C
• Protect from direct sunlight
• Once opened, use within 90 days
• Disposal should be handled according to local environmental procedure
